Friction Free Shaving got in touch recently to ask me attend a cocktail making session at Bar Opus in Birmingham. It was a lot of fun, but the serious side was to find out a bit more about Friction Free Shaving. They are a young company that are essentially offering a razor subscription service aimed at women. There are other razor subscription services out there, but they are aimed at men, which seems a little daft as women often shave as frequently as men and usually cover a larger surface area when they do so.
The idea is that women can now use a quality razor made of metal, rather than the usual plastic, and change the blade once a week. Changing the blade frequently means that it’s always nice and sharp, which gives a better finish. It also makes a lot of sense from a hygiene perspective. Your new blades will arrive regularly through the post in a box that fits through your letter box, so no worries about getting things redelivered or having to pick them up. This way you’ll always have a new blade available when you need it for a big night out or a holiday.
Packages are available for as little as £3 a month for the Faye razor with a 2 head blade, but there are three razor models available so you can choose the razor that suits your needs best. It makes things very easy and you can stop or pause your subscription at any time, so it’s flexible too.
