If you have to eat a gluten-free diet for health reasons, you’ve probably sadly used to having to make your own biscuits and cakes. When I’m going round to a friend’s for coffee, I often take a packet of nice biscuits with me. I’ve found this difficult to do with friends on a gluten-free diet and that’s left me feeling a bit mean, but I don’t always have time to bake and I’m not clued up on all the different sorts of flour. So I was interested to hear about Tesco finest’s range of Free From products.
As you’d expect from a product from the finest range, it uses the best ingredients to create something tasty and a little bit special. I took a pack of the Triple Chocolate Cookies and one of the Dark Chocolate and Stem Ginger Cookies around to a celiac friend’s house to put them through their paces. I couldn’t really tell the difference between these biscuits and similar quality cookies containing gluten. They certainly provided the little bit of luxury that I was looking for and my friend was glad to be able to enjoy a sweet treat, which tasted good.
