A Little Luxury For Me

Holland & Barrett Beauty Concept Store, Birmingham Bullring #Ad

Holland and Barrett

The other week I went along to the launch of Holland & Barrett’s new beauty concept store opening in the Birmingham Bullring shopping centre. Holland & Barrett’s stores usually concentrate on the health food, health supplements, etc. but this store is a bit different from the norm as it is focused on the beauty side of things.  The store looks absolutely stunning and there is such a great range of beauty products made from natural ingredients and ethical suppliers.

ethical products

The evening started off with a talk from Hanna Sillitoe, a beauty expert and former Dragon’s Den candidate.  After struggling with her skin for over twenty years, wellness blogger Hanna Sillitoe turned to natural options and found her skin problems (psoriasis and eczema) improved dramatically.  It was really interesting to hear the story of her business.

Naturally her products are available to buy in the store.

The store is light and bright.  As it’s generously laid out it’s a pleasure to browse through.

It’s very much the sort of place I can see myself visiting whenever I’m in the Bullring.  It feels like a bit of an oasis of calm, and it had that feeling even during the busy launch night.  Whilst it concentrates on beauty, you can also pick up some of your other favourite Holland & Barrett products whilst you are in store. It’s good to know you can pop in whilst shopping and pick up a healthy snack.

I took a few of the products home to try and I’ve discovered some new favourite brands like Evolve.  I’ve become a bit of a fan of their hand made, organic and natural skin, body and hair care products.  I also enjoyed putting together a facial oil using some top quality natural ingredients with their stand at the opening of the Bullring store.

I didn’t even realise Holland and Barret made skincare I just assumed it was all pills, vitamins and nuts! It’s lovely to see the ingredients with the products.

Fantastic that they are bringing beauty products made with natural ingredients and ethical suppliers to the high street. Hope that the store does well so that hopefully one day they will expand their beauty concept store to be part of other Holland and Barrett stores across the UK
