If you are fortunate enough to have your own garden, then it is a really good idea that you do what you can to use your outdoor space as efficiently as possible so you can get the most out of it. Below, you will find some good ideas to help you do just that.
Zone it
Creating a number of different zones for your garden space is a good way to ensure it can be used efficiently for the whole family. For example, you might love sitting with a good book in the garden, whereas the kids might love running around playing football out there, if you create dedicated zones for sitting, playing, growing vegetables, and whatever else you like to do, and separate them with hedgerows, then everyone can do what they love in the space without impacting too much in the other, so everyone wins. Why Hedgerowa? Because they are great at absorbing sound and catching flyaway balls so they don’t end up hitting someone!
Build a garden room
If you are someone who does not use the garden space as much as you would like because the weather never seems to be quite to your liking, then building a garden room, whether it be one of these great garden gym rooms, you won yoga studio or simply a summer house, is a great way to ensure the space gets more use, and you get more enjoyment from it, at any time of the year. For people who aren’t exactly green-fingered, this is often the best way to use the space most efficiently.
Use planters
If you want to grow things in your garden, then using raised planter beds as well as plant pots, is a good way to do it, because it means you will not have to give over a huge amount of lawn space to the plants and flowers, and it will also be a lot easier for you to move them around should you decide you want to do something different with the garden or because they will get more light in a new location when winter comes around, and…well, you get the idea with that.
Keep things neat
Making sure that hedges are neatly trimmed and trees are not allowed to become overgrown will mean that there is more useable space available to you and your family in the garden, no matter whether you want to use the space for dining, relaxing, playing or actually growing your own fruits and vegetables. So, even if you do not particularly enjoy gardening, keeping things neat, or paying a gardener to do so, will definitely pay off in your enjoyment of the garden space.
As you can see, it is not too difficult to ensure that you use your garden space as efficiently as possible, no matter what you plan to use it for, but you may need to get your hands a little dirty and make a few changes for that to be the case, so what are you waiting for?
