Are you still looking around for presents for Mother’s Day? If so, I’ve got a few last-minute suggestions for you.
New PJs are always such a treat. I love to have a new pair at Christmas, but a lighter pair for the spring and summer to come seems like perfect timing for Mother’s Day. I’d not thought of Jockey for anything apart from underwear before, but they do other ranges including a very nice pyjama range. This short pyjama (available soon) just screams summer and that’s what we want to think about at this time of year. Perfect if you are planning an Easter break away in the sun.
A little pampering is always welcome, so a foot care set like this one from Baylis & Harding. The whole point of Mothering Sunday is to put your feet up, if you are a mum, so why not pamper them while you are at it.
I love a nice notebook and there’s something special about writing in them. I’m loving these notebooks from Fabriano Boutique with their Lokta paper covers. Lokta is a handmade paper made by the fibrous inner bark of a bush that grows in the Himalayas. The manufacture of paper takes place in Kathmandu city where a small women’s cooperative mix simple technology and ancient skills. All the covers are silk screen printed and the pages are hand bound using threads.
A new purse is a bit of a treat for me. My credit card wallet is falling apart and I really need to find something robust to replace it, but I’d like it to be some pleasing to the eye too. This purse from Hotter has lovely clean lines, but is very practical too.
