Tesco Finest Cereals Review

We were recently sent a selection of Tesco Finest cereals to review.  Tesco have launched some very luxurious cereals in this range. We tried out:

• Super Berry Muesli
• Belgian Dark Chocolate, Marcona Almond & Cherry Granola
• Multigrain, Blueberry & Raspberry Granola.

The Multigrain, Blueberry & Raspberry Granola is is a blend of oat, barley and quinoa flakes.  To add taste and sweetness there’s fruit puree and acacia honey.  Added to the mix are nuts and seeds. Tesco has also added freeze-dried blueberry and raspberry pieces for extra fruity flavour. If you like a fruity granola, then this is well worth considering.  They have been generous with the fruit too, so it tastes very good.

Finest Super Berry Muesli looks and tastes delicious.  It’s a blend of British cereal flakes and raspberry coated barley flakes.  Berries feature strongly with juicy flame raisins, sultanas and sweetened cranberries.  Plus there’s freeze-dried raspberries and blueberries. I’m a muesli fan and this would be my every day choice for a little luxury at the breakfast table.

The Belgian Dark Chocolate, Marcona Almond & Cherry Granola is wickedly decadent. With its mix of Belgian dark chocolate cereal clusters, Marcona almonds and freeze-dried cherries, this is the one I’d pick out for a weekend luxury breakfast.  I wasn’t sure about chocolate with cereal, but this isn’t anything like the sickly sweet, chocolatey, children’s cereals.  It’s a grown up treat with grown up tastes.
