A Little Luxury For Me

Envy Facial At Dermoperfection #Ad

envy facial dermoperfection

I was excited to hear the news that Dermoperfection in Birmingham has become the first and is currently the only clinic in city to offer the ENVY facial treatment.  This is the treatment that is currently making waves both in LA and over here in London. J.Lo is one of the many celebrities currently loving ENVY, in fact the facial has a whole host of celebrity fans.  It’s great to see it becoming more widely available, so that more of us get the chance to try it out.

For those who haven’t yet heard about ENVY, it’s the only face and body skin resurfacing treatment to effectively exfoliate and extract damaged skin cells gently and deliver infusion into the skin at the same time.  This is thanks to its patented breakthrough 3-in-1 technology.  ENVY drives serums deeper into the skin at the same time as it is exfoliating and extracting.  This means that maximum depth is reached with maximum absorption of the serums. The 3-in-1 technology removes dry and damaged skin cells, deep cleanses the skin surface and directly cleanses the pores.

I got to try out a facial for the purposes of this review, so I can tell you about what happens during the Envy facial.  Each treatment is individual to your skin needs.  Before my facial began I had a consultation and analysis, so that my facial could be fully personalised.  There are four serums to tackle particular skin problems and each facial uses two serums.  We decided to go for the Vitamin C Pro-Infusion Serum and the Skin Brightening Pro Infusion Serum.  I have a few pigmentation patches and my skin needs some help in battle against ageing.

facial in progressThe Vitamin C Skin Hydrating ProInfusion Serum is designed to hydrate, soothe and protect the skin from harmful free-radicals caused by chronic sun exposure. With a powerhouse of antioxidants the Vitamin C Skin Hydrating ProInfusion Serum provides a secondary line of protection against photodamage leaving the patients hydrated, glowing and protected.

Skin Brightening Pro-Infusion Serum contains a patented Lumixyl® peptide, that aids in brightening hypigmentation, ranging from freckles to melasma. This formula helps patients attain the renewed, bright and glowing skin that they desire.

serum and debrisThis is a facial you can have done in your lunch hour because it doesn’t take very long at all: less than half an hour.  My skin looked healthy and glowing afterwards, so it would have been easy to go back to work afterwards.  During the facial you’ll feel some pressure, but it’s far from uncomfortable.  The exfoliation part of the process uses a real diamond tip to give an even exfoliation across your skin and to clear away the dry, damaged top layer. The patented closed-looped vacuum pressure is used to extract dirt, debris and bacteria from the skin’s surface.

Whilst the exfoliation is happening ENVY also infuses condition specific serum through the pores into the skin layers.  This infusion of serum left my skin feeling more hydrated and refreshed immediately.  The benefits last longer though as my skin felt better for days and I think some of my pigmentation spots are less visible now.

jar containing impurities and dead skinWhilst I was slightly horrified by the amount of dead skin, dirt and grime collected by the end of my treatment, I was assured my skin was actually quite clear. The serum going in is clear in colour, so all the colour relates to impurities taken out of your skin. I had thought I was mostly over blackheads, but there were a few lurking in the clear jar at the end.  A lot of the serum had been absorbed by my skin which was good news.  I think my skin clearly needed a good drink.

I think this is a great treatment to get your skin back into condition or to have before a big night out to make you glow.  I can see this becoming part of my skincare regime to keep my skin in tip top condition.

Disclosure: I was given a facial treatment so that I could write about my experience.  My opinions are my own.

It’s been ages since I had a facial. This one sounds good although I’m not sure I want to see the gunk they take out of my pores.

Sounds amazing! I know my skin is really affected by meds and if I’m honest I really should try some intensive treatments like this.
