This week I went to Revolution Bar in Birmingham to sample the new menu. I have to confess that despite having walked past umpteen times I’ve never been inside and I guess I’d always seen it as a place to go for drinks rather than for food.
Inside though is a quirky, interesting decor with spacious high ceilings, somewhere really pleasant to spend a little time. In the central space there’s a double height ceiling, but around the edges of the room, it’s a bit cosier with lots of lovely, comfortable booths to hide away in and catch up with the latest gossip.
Enough of the decor though we were there to sample the food and the drink. We had a mooch through the extensive cocktail menu. I had a
Pudding was a sharing affair and this sundae was certainly big enough for two. There were lots of lovely chucks of chocolate brownie in there amongst the vanilla ice cream and the cream topping.
Revolution Birmingham is now very much on my radar as a place to get a good meal in Birmingham and they have special offers on a lot of days, so popping in for a lunchtime meal with friends during the week is very much an affordable option.

It looks like a really trendy place to eat. I love the cocktails!
It looks like a really nice place to eat, definitely somewhere I would head for a catch up with friends like you’ve suggested. The cocktails sound delicious as well!
I did chuckle at the name of that cocktail, Halle Beri and it does sound lovely too, I will be on the look out for one of those x
My daughter’s boyfriend’s family live in Birmingham and she visits regularly – she raves about this place!
Your mocktail looks amazing, and I really like the decor. Looks like a good find.
That looks really good, the food looks delirious and so do the drinks! I have a revolutions in my town Reading its such a lovely environment to be in mainly on a night out
Yum, this made me hungry now, loving the sound of that chicken burger!xx
As a regular frequenter of Revolution bars across the UK, I am so confused with their new branding into more of a restaurant place. With their main thing being vodka based drinks, I am really failing to understand what look they are now going for. It’s good to hear that you enjoyed your meal and the atmosphere of the venue 🙂
I am a massive burger fan so i hear you pain at not having them as an option! it looks like sure a fab venue
Yum! I’ve never tried buttermilk fried chicken. It sounds delicious.
Ooh the Revolution Bar sounds rather nice Erica. Good for you to know they do food as well as drink too, you know just in case! That pud looks utterly divine 🙂
the burger looks lovely!
