A Little Luxury For Me

Sunbites

March 3, 2015 by Erica Hughes 22 Comments

sunbites snacksIt’s nice to try something out in the snack line that’s a little bit different from the norm.  There are a lot of snacks out there that are very similar, so it’s nice to have a change.  We have been trialing Sunbites, a multigrain snack from Walkers.  There are 3 new additions to the range and we have been munching away on them.

Crispy Crackers

Crispy Crackers are a baked snack, which helps keep the fat content to 30% less than regular crisps.  There’s no need to compromise on taste though and the sunripened sweet chilli flavour is a bold, flavourful one to try.  Other flavours are available and you can take your pick from cream cheese and chive, lightly salted and oven roasted onion & rosemary.

Pitta Bakes

These are as the name suggests based on pitta bread.  Again it’s a baked snack and the texture is more like a tortilla chip than a standard crisp.  We tried the vintage cheddar & caramelised onion flavour, which was a tasty treat.  There’s also roasted red pepper & chili, plus oven roasted onion & rosemary to choose from.

Crackers and Dip Packs

A tasty innovation for the range is the crackers and dips packs. You get a little pot of chutney to dip the crackers in. The crackers are tasty enough to stand up as a snack in their own right, but better still with the chutney dip.  The amount of dip is generous too and we found we had some to spare. Again there are a few flavours available: caramelised red onion chutney with lightly salted crackers or sundried tomato and roasted red pepper salsa with lightly salted crackers.

I think that these snacks will be regulars in lunch boxes in our household as they are tasty and healthier than the average crisp.

These look fabulous. I love having crackers and chutney in the evening but to also have them as a convenient snack in the day would be great.

I am definitely a crisp person rather than a chocolate person and I love the look of these healthy bites. x

I’d be interested in trying these out. I really liked the Deli range that walkers did which have a similar flavour range.
